Good morning, and welcome to my daily Panamax Post column on a very wet end of September but the forecast for midweek is better.

With much in the news, I wish you good fixtures and safe travels. And now for the news before the headlines.

In a tragic accident, 2 people lost their lives and four went missing when a service barge used in the maintenance of oil wells sank in Lake Maracaibo in the state of Zulia, Western Venezuela.
